DC Budgam takes stock of Eid Milad Un Nabi Sallahlahu Alaihi Wasalam arrangements at Ziyarat Sharif MakhamaBudgam, Nov 19: The district Development Commissioner Budgam, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar accompanied by SDM Beerwah, concerned Officers of PHE, Health, CAPD, R&B, RDD, PDD, fire and emergency, municipality, Tehsildar and other concerned today visited Ziyarat Shareef, Peth-Makhama Beerwah in order to take on spot stock of arrangements being put in place for the smooth conduct of Eid Milad-un- Nabi (S.A.W) celebrations.During the visit many demands/issues were raised by locals relating to fencing of shrine premises, repairments of foot paths, scarcity of drinking water, improvement of transmission lines, installation of requisite number of electricity polls, renovation of shrine, deployment of fire and emergency tenders, medical facility, tents for woman devotees, repairments of defunct street lights etc.Reacting to the demands/issues, the DDC said all necessary arrangements will be put in place proactively by all departments. She assures the gathering that uninterrupted power supply will be made available during auspicious days, in addition gensets will be kept available at the shrine to avoid any unprecedented disruption. She said Xen PDD has been directed to repair all defunct street lights, besides he will also make arrangements for the illumination of the Ziyarat Shareef. Regarding renovation the DDC assured that the matter will be taken up with Waqf Board for an early action. She also directed RDD department to initiate work on land leveling/land improvement in the shrine premises expeditiously. Regarding drinking water the PHE department was directed to ensure adequately water supply remain available, similarly R&B department was directed to repair roads leading to the shrine for the convenience of devotees accordingly fire and emergency department will keep a fire tender available round the clock to negotiate any exigency. She said a medical ambulance equipped with trained staff and all facilities will remain stationed at the shrine during requisite period. Regarding the demand of separate accommodation for women devotees, she said directions in this regard have already been placed to the concerned to do the need full urgently.On sanitation and cleanliness the DDC directed concerned to ensure regular lifting of garbage and proper cleanliness inside and around the shrine premises.
